Accessibility Statement
At Covenant for Forgotten Warriors, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities who may need information about our advocacy services. Our goal is to make this website usable and understandable for everyone seeking help, information, or ways to support our work.
Standards and goals
CFW aims to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which are widely recognized as the current standard for accessible web content. Because we are a lean advocacy organization, some improvements are ongoing, but WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark we are working toward across our core pages and features.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility and usability, we are working to implement and maintain:
- Semantic HTML and clear heading hierarchy for easier navigation with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Keyboard-accessible menus, links, and forms so users can navigate without a mouse.
- Alt text for images and icons where they convey information.
- High color contrast and readable font choices for better legibility.
- Simple, consistent navigation structure across pages.
- Clear contact information on every page so users can reach us if they encounter barriers.
Current Limitations
As a relatively new organization founded in 2025, we recognize that our accessibility work is still in progress. Some current limitations include:
- Our website is still being expanded, and some pages may not yet be fully optimized for all assistive technologies.
- We do not have dedicated in-house web development staff, so accessibility improvements are iterative and ongoing.
- Some content may change quickly as advocacy cases develop, and we work to maintain accessibility during rapid updates.
- Third‑party services we use (such as social media embeds, video hosts, or document viewers) may have their own accessibility constraints outside our direct control.
- Video content is being added over time; newer content will include captions, and we are working to improve captioning for older material as resources allow.
Feedback & Requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need an accommodation, or want to request content in another format, we want to hear from you. Accessibility feedback is treated as a priority, especially when it involves someone trying to access information about an active case or advocacy support.

Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is not just about compliance; it is about ensuring that people who may already be facing barriers—veterans, families, and at‑risk civilians—can access help when they need it most. As we grow, we are committed to improving accessibility using user feedback, available resources, and evolving best practices.
We regularly review our website for potential accessibility issues and work to address them as they are identified, including testing on different devices and with a range of user scenarios. When we make significant structural or design changes, we take accessibility impact into account as part of that work.
Statement Review: This accessibility statement is reviewed at least quarterly and updated to reflect ongoing efforts, known limitations, and community feedback.
